¼ cup packed brown sugar ▢1½ tablespoons paprika ▢1½ tablespoons black pepper ▢1 tablespoon kosher salt ▢1 teaspoon garlic powder ▢1 teaspoon onion powder ▢¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper


Step - 1

Dry rub the following ingredients in a medium bowl: brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne.  

To prepare the  separate the clear membrane from the underside. Lightly massage dry rub into both sides of the ribs, then place on a large baking sheet lined with foil.  

Step - 2

Coat the ribs with barbecue sauce containing 1/2 cup. Remove sufficient foil to cover the ribs, then coat the remaining foil with cooking spray. Foil the ribs securely and place them in the refrigerator to chill for a minimum of two hours.  

Step - 3

The oven should be preheated to 300°F prior to baking. Bake ribs for 2 and a half hours while still encased in foil. 

Step - 4

To caramelize the barbecue sauce, unwrap the foil, coat the ribs with the remaining half cup barbecue sauce, and broil for approximately five minutes.
