Big Dog Breeds That Don’t Shed

Airedale Terrier

The Airedale terrier is the largest terrier breed, hence it earns the title "King of Terriers."

The Airedale dog breed originated in England's Aire Valley, where its duck-hunting and rat-killing abilities were highly prized.

Afghan Hound

The mountainous region that is now Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan is where this ancient breed first appeared thousands of years ago.

The long, thick, silky flowing coat sheds relatively little but requires regular brushing and bathing  for many hours every week.

Giant Schnauzer

The largest of the three closely related schnauzer breeds is the gigantic schnauzer.

As with the miniature schnauzer, it is a descendant of the standard schnauzer, the ancestor of all schnauzers.

Goldendoodle

The largest of these designer dogs is the standard goldendoodle, a mix between a standard poodle and a golden retriever.

These dogs are social, bold, and good-natured, making them great companions for people of all ages.

Greyhound

The greyhound, despite being the world's fastest dog, is also one of the most sociable, low-key, and respectable canine breeds when not competing.

They require a home where they will have room to run and play because to their high levels of energy.

Poodle

The poodle can be found in three distinct sizes. The standard poodle is the largest of the three poodle sizes.

The original poodle, bred in Germany to serve as a water retriever, set the bar.
