3/4 cup sugar ▢1/2 cup butter softened (not melted) ▢2 tbsp butter flavored shortening ▢1/4 tsp salt ▢1 egg ▢1 tbsp light corn syrup ▢1 tsp vanilla extract ▢1 tsp almond extract ▢2 cups all-purpose flour ▢1 tsp baking powder ▢1/2 tsp baking soda


Step - 1

Using parchment paper, line a baking tray with heat-safe parchment paper. Cream together the sugar, shortening, butter, and salt in a mixer until light and airy. 

Beat in the egg, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and almond extract until thoroughly combined.  

Step - 2

Combine the flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a separate basin. Combine with the moist ingredients.  

Step - 3

Utilizing a cookie scoop, scoop and roll the mixture into spheres. Mildly pat the pellets down. Bake for twelve to ten minutes. Allow to chill to a warm temperature.  

Step - 4

Combine 1/2 teaspoon almond extract, 1 cup powdered sugar, and a few tablespoons of milk (until the desired consistency is achieved) to make almond frosting.  

Step - 5

Spoon frosting over biscuits that are warm. Sprinkles may be added if desired.
