Japanese Bobtail

The Japanese bobtail is a petite cat breed with a straight or curved tail and a bunny-like tail that is commonly referred to as a "pom."

This breed is closely associated with Japan, as its name suggests, but it may also have originated in China, Korea, or Tibet.

American Bobtail

The American bobtail breed was developed. A couple adopted a feral cat with a short tail and bred him with their female cat, who possessed the typical long tail.

The largest variety of recognized and registered pet cat breeds, they are a cross between a serval and a domestic cat.

Pixie-Bob

The pixie-bob is one of the wild-looking bobtail cat breeds, resembling a diminutive bobcat, but you can rest assured that this domesticated cat.

Tail lengths on pixie bobs can range from nonexistent to a few inches to a full tail.

Manx

A Manx without a tail is known as a "grumpy," whereas a Manx with tail bone protrusion is known as a "rumpy riser." 

Manx cats have a stocky, athletic bodies with a short back, regardless of their classification.

Kurilian Bobtail

This cat breed resided on the Kuril Islands between Siberia and Japan for centuries.

Its bobbed tail is a natural characteristic that varies in length.

Cymric

The Cymric is essentially the Manx with longer hair. Some breed registries, but not all, recognize it as a distinct cat breed.

Cymric cats typically lack a tail, though some are born with a modified tail or even a full-length one.
